Witches Cauldron

This piece encases a beautiful marquee amber stone that has been wrapped in copper wire, topped with a rutile gold quartz bead.

People believed that amber “pulled out” a disease from the body and “attracted” good luck – in the same way as it attracts small objects if you slightly rub it. It was believed that amber adornments averted misfortune, guarded from the evil eye, brought luck in love, and made a man stronger and cleverer.

The stone has been wrapped in copper wire. The wire has been oxidized, polished and sealed to give it that antiqued look.
